BDPA strives to advance the careers of IT Professionals, Entrepreneurs, and students from the classroom to the boardroom.

 

Networking and Social Connections

We do this through the avenues of professional networking and education.

 

We provide numerous opportunities to network with other IT Professionals in your local area and in the nation through our program meetings, special events, and our annual national conference.? At these events, members have the opportunity to meet other professionals, students, employers, and entrepreneurs who are interested in expanding their professional and business networks.

 

Exposure to Emerging Technologies

We at BDPA Columbus strive to expose our membership to the most recent and most relevant technologies in the industry through our program meetings, webinars, and annual technology conference. In addition, we provide access to numerous certification and mentoring programs.

 

Community Service

We serve the community by sponsoring programs to educate high school and college students about careers in information technology. Such programs include the High School Computer Competition, IT Showcase, and Youth Technology Camp.

Membership Cost

The cost for an annual membership to BDPA is $100.00 for working professionals and $25.00 for high school and college students. To join, click the following link and fill out the web forms that follow.

 

Membership Committee

In addition, as the Vice President of Membership of the Columbus Chapter, I would like to share with you some of the membership initiatives that we are involved in:

 

Student Chapter information  We are currently in the planning stages of a student chapter at one of our local universities. Members who enjoy event planning, interacting with college students, and have ideas for program meetings that are geared toward college students are encouraged to participate.

 

  • Booths at job and career fairs we hope to soon have booths at job and career fairs, anyone who knows that they would enjoy talking to others about BDPA is encouraged to participate.

 

  • Partnering with other student organizations we encourage our membership to form liaisons with other organizations, those who belong other professional/social organizations and would like to keep the BDPA membership abreast of that organizations events and tell the organization about our events is encouraged to participate.
